The Way You See

Author’s Note: I wrote this essay to show how good it is if I actually tried. The book is very good and people who like books about wars I recommend it for you.

In the book The Boy Who Dared, in the times of war when the Nazi’s ruled most of Germany, many families were with the war or against it, most people persuading others to see Hitler as they do. Helmuth a middle aged tells how his point of view got him locked up and in line for execution, and how the soldiers seen him. Every situation that he is in there is always a different point of view by others.

In Helmuth’s point of view the reader sees things differently other than the point of view of somebody else. Such as when Helmuth’s brother is sent out to war it is horrifying for Helmuth, but his brother Gerhard thought of it as a great opportunity to become a hero. The reader usually feels the way the character does that is telling the story. For example when Helmuth says” Hitler is a mad man” the reader feels that he possibly a bad person. He also said “Hitler is tearing this country apart and killing our soldiers” makes you think that Hitler is a bad leader too. So the reader sees Hitler as bad all together.

How the story is told by Helmuth really affects the way the reader sees everything, but if they point of view would change the reader would have different perspectives of the characters. If Hitler was telling the story I would think that Hitler is good instead of thinking he is ruining the country.  Another idea is if it was one of Helmuth’s friends who think that he is crazy, most of the readers would decide that Helmuth is crazy for what he is doing. So how the point of view is told does affect the way that the reader interprets the character.

Changing the point of view will change the way you see the story. Having a clear point of view of the story is very important to understand what is going on. Point of view really does matter in many ways, like what if the character that the point of view is in has nothing to do with the story.

The creation of santa

Author's note: It was fun piece to write.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Tim. He always misbehaved so one day his parents had an idea. They told the him that when he does not behave a man named Santa can see him. The Tim ask why do I need to behave for him. So the parents said that if you do he brings you extraordinary gifts . So the little boy asked when does he bring the presents. So they said on December twenty fifth so the little boy waited until then that marvelous day . The parents thought while Tim was sleeping where would they put the gifts, so they put a tree up in the living room and decorated it with spectacular ornaments. The morning came and Tim went down stairs and found lot of treats in his socks and presents under the tree. The boy asked what is the day was called the parents thought quick and said Christmas. So the tradition went on and his parents told their friends, and the tradition went on and is still celebrated today.
